I offered a fellowship offering today. I gave what I promised to give, and I still have plenty of food left. So I came out to find you, and here you are!~Proverbs 7:14-15
Every week we have a family pizza night in my house. Generally it’s on Tuesday of every week. We sit enjoying each other’s company, listening to K-love radio and everybody has a chance to kinda “catch up”. Now, to some that may sound strange that we catch up with each other on Tuesdays. But, the way I look at it is we are so busy with the whole rest of our week, that is the only time within our busy week that everyone is all in one place. So for our big family it is perfect. We are so blessed to have this time together every week. It truly is precious time that I have been privileged to have with my family. We have truly learned to cherish the time He has so graciously given us.
Why do I say that? Because, there have been way too many “close calls” in my family over the years. And I don’t say that in a joking or light manner. But I strongly believe that God put our family through those scenarios as a test to see that we know we are stronger then we think we are. Also, I truly believe that God doesn’t give more than we can handle.
So, my point is this, plan some time one time a week as a “family night”. Do something that is fitting to your family. Whether that’s a special meal, family game night, or family movie night. Pick something to fellowship together. It is so worth it.
