Troubles bring awareness of God: touching lives 1 by 1

It truly amazes me how many lives you can touch. Even from just 1 place in the world. I primarily spend most of my day in 1 spot  usually. Because I am unable to do things like run around outside, run errands or just go to the movies. Especially when it’s super hot or really really cold. where I live there really isn’t a middle ground of nice weather, so it is either really cold or super hot out. So, like many people with disabilities who can’t go outside that often, I fill my days with indoor hobbies. most of which (for me) surround either the TV or the computer. most of the time though, I spend time in the front room, (with my power chair tilted), on the computer. Because watching TV in my room (laying down) can get pretty lonely at times. And I am in a house full of people. So while in the front room on the computer I also can be around the entire family.
Anyway, so Monday I was just trying to entertain myself  on the computer while listening to K love Radio. It was about 5 in the  evening so Lauren Lee and Larry Wayne were on. they were talking about the different personality types people have. Personality types A&B mostly. but then they got into discussing something else. Something that lead to Lauren reading from the book “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young. She has written this book as if each entry is a letter from God himself to us His children.
This particular letter reads; “Make ME the focal point of your search for security. In thought you were still trying to order your world so that it is predictable and & safe. Instead of yearning for a trouble free life, rejoice that troubles can highlight your awareness of My presence.”~God
This letter entry from the book struck a chord with me. Because if you have read  seen I have posted from the beginning, you would know that I don’t let my troubles get the best of me. Instead, I lean heavily on my faith God & the promise he makes in Jeremiah 29:11  which says,  For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD,“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Some people have felt bad for me in the past saying, “I wish you did not have to suffer.” But, I do not look at life as though I “suffer” through it. I look at the things I go through as struggles not sufferings. This letter from the Jesus Calling book just proves to me once again that God truly does have a plan for each and every 1 of our lives. And He puts struggles in our lives just to remind us that He is right here with us. So, thank you again Larry and Lauren from K-Love Radio. that entry you read from Sarah Young’s book truly did make a difference for me. And it also gave me a stronger perspective on life’s struggles. 🙂
